Hi Stuart, Both this and your other tune are really good. Do you have any others? You've got a great style for writing. This tune in my opinion could have one more part. Starting with birl from E then build and work its way up the scale with a few runs and keeping the same rhythm as the other two pa...

Very impressive Roy.
Great structure and consistency to the tune.

Good work and good luck for labour weekend if you're coming up.

Just thought I should clarify that this tune is written as a ender for a medley with plenty of harmony. It sounds a lot different with the complete package all together.

I agree with Liam in that the 4th part is mantis :D Although a few comments. Listen to it again and listen for which gracenote dominates the tune. It's G gracenote. Watch that when writing tunes that they're not over run with the constant sound of gracenotes. Also agree the first three parts a a bit...

Good work Simon, great to see you getting into composing!

The thing I like about this, especially since this is your first tune, everything matches. Like you didn't try to put something in there that didn't fit, it's a good musical tune.

Keep writing mate!

That's really cool what you've been able to do. Incorporating those other instruments in the .midi file. What program did you use?

Just a quick note.
I thought I should identify that the flat going up to the C at the end of the lines are actually voluntary slurs. So It's actually a normal B and a normal C, just with a slur on the way up to the C if you want to put it in.

Thought I'd clarify that.

Well Liam, you and I are going to have to have a chat... where do you get this music from? It's great! I spend a lot of time looking through files and music to try and find new influences in my composing or just to find a wicked tune to suggest to my band at the time and the stuff in that medley is ...

Hi there.
Nice tune man. It's got a unique style attached to it. You've obviously done this before. Well done.

Hey,
I spent 5 minutes just making a few changes to the first part to show you what I had in mind, but if you don't like it I'm not worried, just wanted to give you an idea of what I was talking about.

Cheers

Hey, just a few comments. To me it doesn't feel like it's finished. I think it could be an absolute cracker if you made it more flowing. To me there are too many stop starts that make it predictible. If you cut out some of the crotchets and make a few quavers or runs I think you have a really good b...
