"My husband Jim is overseas and out of contact at the moment I do know though that there was no sheet music for that tune and the Argylls pipers learned it by listening to a tape. Hope this helps."

I probably adopted it from one of the first world war pipers. The design behind it is that when a fellow is bridging the C with his little finger down on the D position, so he has lots of stability on the chanter, he can roll that GCE doubling, and maintain the beautiful tone on the C note. It works...
