Personally I think it's a shame to lose the old skin/artwork, but if it makes the site easier to maintain and the hackers and spammers at bay it has to be a good thing. Here's to a popular new year for ViperPiper

I've seen the idea, but never used one. I've tried a contact mic on the drones (the way I'd attach a tuner to a fiddle) but it was less effective than holding the tuner over the drone. That was with a cheap contact mic and the contact should be better with these fixed ones.
Was the price reasonable ?

Sorry Spicy - I don't get you. You said that you'd recommend the Clanrye because apart from very cold weather, they're pretty stable. Then you said that you'd steer clear because they sound horrible and cane is better. Or are you just saying that you like them in the rain, but not when anyone else t...

Hi - I read some of those comments on their facebook page, so I doubt I'd think seriously about it until those problems were sorted - and the price came down a lot. I was talking about Bagpipe Player, though, which is free, but which I could not install on Windows 7. i understand that it's a 32-64bi...

I couldn't see a link to any of their music, nor find them on YouTube, so something that showcases them would be wise from their point of view. Presumably there will eventually be something to listen to when they are listed on Amazon. For something else interesting on Gaelic music and song, I was se...

First question is whether the bag has a zip. I used to have a hybrid Shepherd bag - synthetic inner and hide outer. When it started leaking, there seemed to be sections of the hide bag that were leaking in a porous-sort-of-way. In reality, though, it could have been leaking at some distance from the...

Olympic Games
We've just heard that prices for tickets for the Olympic seats will be priced up to £2012 each, although prices for other events - qualifying in obscure sports by people you will never have heard of will be much cheaper, especially for little kids. That's for the tickets that are available. It proba...

Well if you can put the file together in a Word or (very) clean .pdf document, then it costs nothing. If you have handwritten manuscripts and rough notes and want someone else to collate it, then obviously you'd have to pay someone. Our music was written using Sibelius, then exported to Word to have...
