An experiment. Written with Piobmaster, imported into Celtic Pipes, then exported to BWW.

Heard this on the radio the other day, just as I was playing about with Piobmaster. I've never been sure if it was traditional or not, but seems it is. So here it is in Piobmaster format.

Don't you Marines have your own Pipe Band? I'm sure I've seen a newsletter a few years ago. Would it be possible to have one of those guys available to play at a moment's notice? Or are there just too few members?

Sadly, I think there will be a need for some considerable time to come.

Would that be Tom McAllister, of Shotts fame? And would that mean this is not a public domain tune?

I'll try to find out who arranged it for our band, and see if I can get any more info.

I do think the format's popularity is down to the fact that certain software is easily accessible for free though. But I guess this is not the place to debate the rights or wrongs.

I seem to remember there being seconds for this tune. If I can't find them anywhere, I'll have a go at arranging them myself. If I can remember how they go.

Now, this is a difficult one. Nameless would appear to be quite a common name for a tune, and understandably so. Yes, in Piobmaster you simply go to file - import, and select the BWW file you wish to convert. You may find that some grouped cut notes are cut again. But if you go to Tools - Options, and make sure the Halve Note Value When Grouped box is unticked, when you close the prompt, the problem will be so...
