The Cascade

This wee reel was written quite a few years ago, around 1994. It wasn't until 1996 that I realised there was a tune called 'the little cascde'. I was planning on changing the title of mine, but nothing else fitted. As they are so different from each other, I doubt there has been any confusion. Imagi...

Mardi Gras piping?

How's about this one then. The Padre attached to the band I am P/M of, the Black Watch Army Cadet Force P+D's, has a great sense of humour. I was tuning my drones at a camp last year and the initial bits of this tune came out. After humming it a while, the Drum Major, myself and a few pipers couldn'...

.bww of the bond?

Re posting the .bww version. My version of .bww came with a file convertor, which opens abc, .bgp and many more. It's free to downlaod and The Bond works fine with it. All you do is open the abc file, which gives you a .bww and text file, open the bww, highlight and copy the whole of the script, ope...

For my Fiddle

Having used to play the fiddle (three blind mice, Scot's wha'hae, etc, stage only, but it did sort my music theory out, and no mistake) I wondered what sort of stuff I might have composed for that instrument, if any. So here it is, and blimey if it don't get the toes moving, as any good fiddle shoul...

More from my rep

Well, seeing as how I found out how to work the buttons on this cntraption, here's another wee tune I wrote for a friend. Nothing fancy, but then, are any 3/4's fancy? It does break up some of the usual 'played too much' 3/4's from time to time. Cheers, Andi :) <edited - added some other file format...

Like it or leave it, the choice is yours

Tunes are a matter of preference, but I find that if any of your contemporaries like anythign I compose, that's good enough for me. So, here's one of those kind of compositions. Hope you like it. It's a tune from myself to members of my band upon my taking up the position of P/M. <edited - added som...

[size=18]Hi, Just listened to The Cadence of Loom. Must say I like the style, though I feel the last two notes of each 7th bar could do with accenting like the rest. Should it be, or not? Nice, though.

Cheers,

Andi :)
