The Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police Department was founded in 1999 with a very specific purpose, to honor those law enforcement officers and other public safety personnel who make the ultimate sacrifice while in service to others.

Over the past ten years this mission has expanded and we now appear not only at public safety functions - but also at benefits, community events, fundraisers, parades, and any other type of event where our presence is requested. We believe that if our presence at any event helps to lift the spirits of one person, then we have accomplished our goal. It has been our honor to be of service to the community during this time.

This year marks ten years of service for The Pipes and Drums and to celebrate this, we will be hosting a party and fundraiser at: Hawthorne Race Track Saturday, October 17th. Funds raised from this event will afford us the opportunity to continue our charitable deeds by defraying the costs of travel, lodging, instruments, and uniforms. In advance of this event, we are asking for your help in making it a success. Any type of donation either great or small is greatly appreciated. The band is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 Organization. All donations are tax deductible.
