EXHAUST PIPES - Hornpipe

Post by david n. siegel » Tue Feb 06, 2007 11:13 am

A new hornpipe--in the modern tradition. Might play around more with the gracing.

It is intentionally simple, and repetitious. But maybe it doesn't work for everybody, which is ok. Not super fast, but not slow or draggy.

Listen to it first, as it doesn't come into its own without drones. I'd say kick up the bass on BMW if you listen with that programme.

Cheers!
-David.

It's an excellent tune, I wish more tunes would have a rhythm like the third part :).

But the fourth part, just seems like a little too much compared to how the rest of the tune sounds. But it makes for a good finish. Great job.

Thanks for the comments, and the critique. It is always possible to change a tune, and I will set it aside for a bit, and listen anew to how the 4th part fits. Be glad for any more detailed feelings in the matter, too.

Too bad my lead snare doesn't like that 3rd part rhythm!

Cheers,
-David.
