Re: The Goldfinch & the Thistle
Yeah, inspiration works in unpredictable ways... Some great tunes are indeed best left with two parts. I find that mastering the tune on the actual instrument is often the best way to keep the creative inertia going for additional parts when one drifts off into the realm of unscripted intuition.

Re: The Goldfinch & the Thistle
Like it a lot! Seems like there could be possibilities for 3rd and 4th parts if so inclined.

Skipping Stones, hornpipe
Five part tune. The fourth part can be easily omitted if only four parts are desired.

Re: Auld Boabs Reel.....Reel
Nice tune! Works as a hornpipe too, if repeats are included.

Re: Vapor Trail, slow air
Yes, you're right about the inconsistency. I get so tired of messing with the program I sometimes
lapse into oversight on such details as long as the playback sounds right. Cheers, Dan

Neil Serkland, 9/8 march

A two part 9/8 march dedicated to Neil Serkland , who died a few years ago. Neil was the pipe major of the first pipe band I joined in Santa Clara, Ca. back in the 1980's as a beginner and I remember him well.
