My wife did this while I was away on a business trip about 20 years ago. Done with artist's quality wax colour pencils. The proportions on the bass drone are not perfect, but, these are my old Sinclair pipes, and I am fond of the work.

How long was you away? A year?

The pipes look great! yeah can see what you mean about the bass drone but still wow.

The bagcover even looks velvet!!

And then what I think is a bigger wow and thats the tartan rug, so much detail.

She builds up colours, textures, and effects in layers--in this case it took about 25 hours.

Extraordinary painting. She's got the spirit of the tartan and pipes.
