ABP3 McCallum Plastic Bagpipe (Acetyl)

Has anyone had any experience with McCallum Plastic pipes? I am considering a set for use in rather hostile environment (Iraq). How is the tone? What drone reeds work best in these pipes? Any information would be appreciated.

Since buying mine, they became my travel set...been on many trips. Love them.
I think my chanter is broken; it won't keep time with my foot.
