Fred's Reel Pipes

A great place to find new tunes. If you have composed your own tune, you can upload it here to let other pipers learn it and perhaps get some feedback. PLEASE ONLY UPLOAD TUNES YOU HAVE COMPOSED YOURSELF OR HAVE EXPRESS PERMISION FROM THE COMPOSER TO DO SO.
Please only create a new topic in this forum if you are uploading a tune.

Fred's Reel Pipes

Post by philamor » Sat Jun 22, 2019 10:24 am

After 40 years piping, I've got my first and probably only set of reel pipes (small pipes) in A.

I am still sorting out the co-ordination of the bellows arm, but it's ealry doors - give a bloke a chance - but after 3 days I can safely say I will be able to master the technique, even if it's to be able to entertain myself in a sound proofed room.

However, the creative juices are flowing since acquiring them, and this tune, a celebration of piping in general I suppose, has come forth.

I hope you enjoy. It's not too difficult, a little dexterity required, nothing more, really.

Really, Reel pipes - did you see what I did there?

Amaze myself, sometimes (yeah, only sometimes)

Slainte,

Andi

If you cannot write a tune down that you can play so that they are identical, how can you truly say you know the tune!
