What happened to the MAP program?? The RSPBA site now has "Prescribed Tunes".

At least to my guesstimation, the Music Appreciation and Presentation program started thanks to Bands who Appreciate Heavy Embellishment, over the Music, and present that lot Un-Musically.... if you have heard lower or no graded Bands attempt heavily embellished Tunes.. I think you might understand. There is unfortunately a mindset where Embellishments are more important, and all Tunes have to be big heavy, and pretending to be solo comp Marches.

SO... the MAP Tunes, particularly the Marches to me were a fine example of "Band Ready", or "K.I.S.S.". Now its back to heavy embellishment. I am not sure what happened there. Seems like a step backwards to me, and a bad example for entry level bands.
